Help CRA-NC Continue to Work for

Economic Justice!

The Community Reinvestment Association of North Carolina’s mission is to promote and protect community wealth.  Committed to creative advocacy, CRA-NC uses research, education, mobilization, media, litigation, regulatory challenges, legislative advocacy and stockholder actions to initiate change.  Help us continue to:

• Ensure banks live up to their responsibilities under the Community Reinvestment Act to invest in our communities

• Create innovative media products that fuse entertainment with education to inform the public about financial issues, including homeownership, credit, and predatory lending

• Hold corporations and financial institutions accountable in meaningful ways by empowering local church and congregation members to become shareholder advocates

• Produce groundbreaking research reports on predatory lending practices that strip wealth

• Organize citizens around economic justice issues across North Carolina and the nation

• Use radio advocacy to identify new leaders on problems and issues facing the African-American community in NC and build more engagement on issues that touch people’s hearts and minds

• Work towards changing the lending practices of financial institutions to promote wealth building for underserved communities and end harmful activities such as payday lending
